When you are diabetic or "at-risk" (including those who are not diabetic that have peripheral arterial or vascular disease, neuropathy, are over age 65, have physical or other restrictions that limit your ability to reach or care for your feet, and/or have other conditions), the health of your feet is vital to your overall health!  Dr. Hummel has extensive knowledge and experience in treatment and evaluation of diabetic and "at-risk" feet. She remains up-to-date on the latest recommendations and treatment protocols while offering individualized recommendations and treatment plans to each and every patient. 

Whether you are looking for treatment of fungal toenails or a painful ingrown toenail, a diagnosis for an unknown nail condition, or requiring help keeping your nails at an appropriate, comfortable length/thickness, Dr. Hummel is here to help!

At Hummel Foot and Ankle, we offer both custom and pre-fabricated, prescription-strength orthotics

Prefabricated ($45 per pair):

• Only available in doctor's offices: PowerStep® ProTech orthotic insoles are available exclusively for purchase and distributed by medical professionals

• Can be lightly customized by Dr. Hummel as part of office visit

• Perfect balance of comfort and support that stabilizes and aligns the feet to help relieve and prevent pain from excessive motion within the foot

Custom ($400 per pair):

• Custom-casted via the "old school" method of plaster casting while foot is held in subtalar joint neutral to most accurately capture the shape of your foot

• Feet and ankles are expertly evaluated in sitting, standing and walking positions in order to prescribe the most accurate and beneficial corrections, support, offloading, weight distribution and orthotic makeup

Get your diabetic shoes here! We verify your eligibility and insurance prior to your appointment! We expertly size, fit and dispense diabetic shoes. Choose from an array of shoe types -- from casual shoes to sneakers to boots! Anodyne shoes currently being offered; Dr. Comfort offerings coming soon!

At Hummel Foot and Ankle, we provide non-surgical, conservative treatment options for an array of common foot conditions and injuries! On-site x-ray available for convenient and immediate evaluation of foot pain, injuries, conditions, and fractures.
Minor, minimally-invasive in-office procedures and injections are available for some conditions as needed

We offer a variety of treatment options for concerns regarding the skin on your feet and ankles! Biopsies, minor excisions, and scrapings are expertly performed as needed! 

We treat a variety of conditions including xerosis (chronic dry, flaky skin), athlete's foot, warts, dry, cracked heels, wetness in between toes and excessive sweating, psoriasis, eczema, and more!
